Texas Conservation Alliance is delighted to introduce our new executive director, Grahame Jones. Known to many in Texas’ conservation community, Grahame brings decades of wildlife advocacy to TCA.
Grahame served twenty-seven years with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), retiring in 2020 as Director of Law Enforcement. After retiring from TPWD, Grahame became the Executive Director for The 100 Club of Central Texas, helping families of first responders. He is a past State Board Member for the Coastal Conservation Association, past State Chair for Texas Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, and received the 2020 Sam Beasom Conservation Leader Award from the Texas Wildlife Association.
In 2022, Grahame was appointed to serve a four-year term on TPWD’s Coastal Resources Advisory Committee, was recently appointed as Chair of the TPWD Oyster Advisory Committee, and currently serves on the Texas Foundation for Conservation Board. In his free time, Grahame enjoys flyfishing, gardening, and live music. Grahame lives in Austin with his wife Julie and has two daughters, Gabbie and Jali, pictured above with the canine member of the family, Waylon.
Says Grahame, "I could not be more excited for the opportunity to work with the TCA Board, staff, members, and volunteers to accomplish such an important mission. For more than half a century, TCA has successfully advocated for wildlife and wild places in Texas, and that cause has been extremely important to me for nearly forty years".
Please join TCA’s Board of Directors in welcoming Grahame!
