TCA invites you to Armand Bayou Nature Center in Houston, Texas, on Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28, for our 2024 Annual Meeting and fun nature activities. Please RSVP to help us plan for activity attendance and a catered lunch. The activities and lunch are free with registration. The last day to register is Monday, September 23. Armand Bayou Nature Center is located at 8500 Bay Area Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77507. We recommend Hotels just south of the nature center along NASA 1 near Seabrook and Kemah Boardwalk Area when securing your accommodations.
Schedule Update & Information:
Due to damage caused by Hurricane Beryl in late June, many of the trails are not accessible, and it was decided that it's best to cancel the guided hiking tour scheduled at 10:30am on Saturday, September 28. In place of the hiking tour, we have scheduled a presentation about ABNC and wildlife demonstration, hosted by Tim Pylate, Executive Director of Armand Bayou Nature Center. All participants are welcome to join and no further action is necessary if you've registered already.
We've been told there are still a few areas on the ABNC grounds that you can explore and walk around at your leisure if you choose to do so. Be sure to share your wildlife and nature photos with @tcatexas on social media!
Restrooms are available on site, as well as a water bottle filling station, and a gift shop. The gift shop does not sell snacks or drinks. Folks can eat outside or in the auditorium when the catered lunch is served (RSVP required).
The extended weather forecast predicts the days will be in the upper 80's with a chance of light rain on Friday and mostly sunny skies on Saturday.
