Take Action. Restore Prairie Land at Lakewood Park (Dallas)

Join us on May 11 to maintain a remnant prairie in Lakewood Park. Exotic plants can escape from yards into the wild, disrupting natural communities and ecological processes. Invasive species often outcompete native plants by overgrowing spaces and decreasing biodiversity. They serve little use for native wildlife because they have not coevolved together. We need you Saturday, May 11 at Lakewood Park to remove invasive plants from one of Dallas' few remaining prairies. You'll help restore this prairie toward ecological health and rewild it to benefit bees, butterflies, bats, beetles, birds, and other pollinators. Join us!
