Join Reforest Lufkin for a community-wide tree planting event on November 9th, from 10 am to noon, at Morris Frank Park Wetlands Area! Volunteers are invited to help make a positive environmental impact in the park, where 150 trees will be planted. We will have a native tree giveaway where volunteers will have the opportunity to take home a free tree to plant in their own yards. The Reforest Lufkin initiative, spearheaded by Angelina Beautiful Clean, aims to revitalize recreational areas throughout Lufkin, starting with Morris Frank Park. This initiative is dedicated to beautifying Lufkin by planting native trees that will increase shade, support wildlife, boost biodiversity, and reduce erosion. Reforest Lufkin has developed a five-year plan to plant trees in parks across Lufkin and educate the public on environmental conservation.
