About the Event
Join TCA, the Friends of the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the Neches River Refuge to restore critical and rare prairie habitat by planting native plants. Prairie plants provide food and shelter for grassland birds and other wildlife. Join us Saturday, May 4, from 9:00 to noon, to plant native plants and restore pocket prairies at the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge.
There will be lots of other fun activities for explorers all ages: guided nature and photography walks, net-dipping aquatic “critters”, Dutch Oven cooking, and caravan tours!
