About the Event
Join TCA and the Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve on Saturday, May 21 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to protect and restore habitat for pollinators, birds, mammals, and amphibians. The Connemara Preserve is a 72-acre area of former farmland in Allen, TX that has been protected from urban sprawl and is being restored as a refuge for the unique plants and animals of the Blackland Prairie, one of the most endangered ecosystems in the world and a natural treasure of Texas. Join us to plant native plants, restore prairie, and help provide a place for people to connect with nature.
Volunteers will enter through the back gate at the meeting of Bass and Roberta Drive (https://goo.gl/maps/UtgLbRsDk8vLPuxf9) and park just within the entrance to the preserve.
