About the Event

Join the Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society (PTAS), Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve, and Texas Conservation Alliance for a morning of fun and impactful conservation at the Connemara Preserve. Located in Allen, this 72-acre nature preserve is a vital urban habitat for birds, insects, and other wildlife, offering a natural retreat for urban residents to enjoy close to home.

The day will include a bird walk and, weather permitting, planting native grasses to support habitat restoration. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a birder, or just looking for a meaningful way to spend your morning, this event is for you!


Meeting Point: Inside the mid-meadow gate at the intersection of Hedgcoxe Road and Greensboro Drive, Plano, TX.

Schedule:

  • 7:30–8:30 AM: Bird Walk (led by PTAS member Rodney Thomas)

  • 8:45–10:30 AM: Restoration Activity (led by the Connemara Preserve team)
